HVAC Maintenance – Why Is It Important
HVAC maintenance (preventative maintenance) can help you avoid major problems from occurring in your system, such as unit failures, electrical sparks from worn wires, or polluted air from unchanged filters.
For residential homes, we encourage you to schedule a PM for your systems every 6 months. This will help ensure your HVAC system is running for all the different seasons with no surprise breakdowns.
As for commercial buildings, we recommend quarterly or 6 month PMs on your commercial systems.

Preventative Maintenance – What It Includes
During a preventative maintenance checkup, the technician inspects your HVAC system from the circuits all the way down to the caps and valves (which include control panels, drain lines, filters, and pumps).
We offer our services to clean your HVAC unit in addition to regularly scheduled preventative maintenance. This cleaning includes but not limited to:
- Coils
- Blower Motors
- Ignitors
- Grilles
- Drain Lines/Pans
- Filters
Note, we do not clean ductwork.
It’s also important to note that if you have gas heat in your home or business, it is crucial to have your system maintained on a regular basis. This will not only keep you safe from toxic gases but also keep you comfortable.
We want to provide you with comfort that you can count on whether it’s hot or cold.
At Eldridge Services we provide both residential and commercial preventative maintenance contracts at fair yet competitive prices.
